Important things to do:
Know your Billing and Due Dates
Bills are sent out every month. If you have any questions about billing please check your MyUCSC or take a look at our Billing Page.
Sign up for Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit or ACH/EFT refunding enables the University to electronically transfer credit balances from your student billing account to your Bank (personal checking or savings) account. It eliminates the wait time for the mail to arrive and is the most secure method to receive your money. Sign up for direct deposit through MyUCSC.
Credit card payments made via the UCSC eBill/ePay site will not refund via Direct Deposit. They will refund through the UCSC eBill/ePay site and back to the credit card used to make the payment.
The Tuition Deferred Payment Plan (TDPP) allows students to pay for their Registration fees (Tuition/Non-Resident Tuition (if applicable)/Student Services Fee and Campus Fees) for the term in monthly installments during the term instead of having to pay them all at once.
Housing payment plans are also available. Information regarding these plans may be obtained from the UCSC Housing Services office at (831) 459-2394 or by email at housing@ucsc.edu.
Online Pre-loan Counseling
If you have accepted a student loan at UCSC, it is mandatory that you complete loan entrance counseling. There are two counseling sessions: Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized and ACS/Perkins. You are required to complete both sessions if you have received both types of loans.
Update Your Address
New students can update their address information online through MyUCSC. Please update your mailing address to reflect your local Santa Cruz address. Your permanent address should reflect where your parents live or where you lived prior to coming to UCSC. Your billing address should be the address of a third party, or the person responsible for paying your billing statements. Please remember to update your address through MyUCSC at the end of the Spring term, so that Student Business Services will be able to reach you when you are away from school.
